German Cockroach
German Cockroach, which originally came from Africa, is the smallest of the pest species. We can found throughout Australia. German Cockroach is the hardest pest cockroach to get rid of and is the most troublesome in Australia. Although, It can be found anywhere in the home, most habited in the kitchen, frequently inside cupboards, drawers and electrical appliances.
We recommend using gel baits, non-repellent insecticides, dust baits, roach bait stations, insect growth regulators, select dust and roach pheromone traps for residential and commercial areas.
American Cockroach
American cockroaches are omnivorous and opportunistic feeders that eat materials such as cheese, beer, tea etc. Leather, bakery products, dead animals, plant materials, soiled clothing, and glossy paper with starch sizing are other food sources. They have also feed upon dead or wounded cockroaches of their own or other species.
American cockroaches generally live in moist areas but can survive in dry areas if they have access to water. These cockroaches are common in basements, crawl spaces, cracks and crevices of porches, foundations, and walkways adjacent to buildings. In residential areas outside the tropics, these cockroaches live in basements and sewers and may move outdoors into yards during warm weather.
The use of insecticides can be the best way to control cockroach infection. Covering cracks and cleaning any spills or messes would be beneficial to block them to enter and avoid the food sources. Another way to prevent an infestation of cockroaches is to thoroughly check any material brought inside.
Australian Cockroach
The Australian cockroach is an outdoor species that lives in colonies. These creatures need warm temperatures to survive and often move indoors when temperatures become too cold. They usually inhabit locations with high humidity, such as tree bark and piles of wood or leaves.
These cockroaches prefer areas where they can snack on garbage and other decaying organic matter. so, crawling around garbage means they carry all of this bacteria (e. coli and salmonella) around with them where they travel. They transmit these diseases and pathogens onto food and clean surfaces around your home.
